Rick Kelley has owned and operated Rick Kelley Performance Horses, a full service training facility since 1987 providing top all around horses for clients in the show arena as well as for roping, rodeo, barrel racing and trail riding.

During his many years of involvement and experience in the horse show industry, Rick has held the positions of past president of GSPHC and board member of the board of directors of PCQHA. In 2008 Rick was honored in accepting the prestigious position of serving as a committee member of AQHA Professional Horsemen.

Over the years, Rick Kelley Performance Horses has produced champions at the Pacific Coast Quarter Horse Shows, American Buckskin World Show, All American Quarter Horse Congress and Qualifiers for the AQHYA, AQHA and AQHA Select World Shows.

In 2004 Rick and Claudia teamed up in a partnership and together realized the opportunity to offer a variety of services to the one million people surrounding the Clovis community. Together they developed “Horse Parties and More” a party facility for birthdays, family reunions, barbeques or youth fund-raisers. They began “Horse Safe Kids Summer Camp” for horse crazy kids, designed to teach children who are non-owners how to be safe around horses while developing riding skills. To promote the equine industry through agri-tourism, they formed and introduced “Interactive Agricultural Experience” an educational field trip program. The program hosted three hundred school children in the first fourteen days of opening, experiencing a ranch tour, petting farm, demonstrations and hands-on learning activities.

Our trainers, Patrice Corbridge and Connie Buckley, are sisters who have worked together for 25 years. They share instructing and coaching duties at home and at shows. Patrice shows our clients horses as needed. They both competed as junior and amateur riders before becoming professional.

Patrice was an assistant trainer for Butch and Lu Thomas at Willow Tree in the late 70's and early 80's. Her ability to work with difficult horses was quickly noted by Butch. While working for Willow Tree, she competed on her own horses as well as others in California, Arizona , and Spruce Meadows.

She moved to the Central Valley and opened her own business in the 80's. Patrice has extensive showing experience in both hunters and jumpers. Her calm and accurate riding encourages our horses to enjoy their showing experience.

Connie began working with Patrice in the mid 80's. She brings a strong teaching background having been a classroom teacher and the manager/instructor for the riding program at Hillbrook Day School in Los Gatos, California. Her desire is for our clients to reach their individual goals while having a positive experience. Connie is also a recorded Hunter, Hunt-Seat Equitation and Jumper Judge with the United States Equestrian Federation.
